Team Lead, Trading & Discovery (Crypto)

  • Lead an 11-person cross-functional squad owning crypto market data, pricing, liquidity and discovery.
  • Led the rebuild of the crypto market-data platform (Go, NATS JetStream, ClickHouse, gRPC), with a pair-by-pair shadow rollout and rollback in under 15 seconds.
  • Owned delivery of automated USDT/IDR pricing and FX hedging, replacing manual spreads and hedges.
  • Led P0 incident response and postmortems, and a security remediation that cut critical CVEs on a core service from 325 to 0.
  • Still hands-on: hundreds of code PRs and reviews across Java/Spring and Go services.

  • Led backend teams building reactive microservices for trading and ledger systems, processing over 110 million transactions and 27 million asset movements.
  • Scaled stock backend services to roughly 300k requests per minute using Redis and Caffeine caching strategies.
  • Initiated and led data archival tooling with the Data and DevOps teams, reducing database storage costs and improving query performance.
  • Owned the crypto brokerage backend for spot and futures, and cut portfolio API latency from ~5s to ~300ms at ~1,800 RPS peak.

Rebuilding the crypto market-data platform.

I led the rebuild of our crypto market-data platform on Go, NATS JetStream, ClickHouse and gRPC. We moved pair by pair in shadow mode, with rollback in under 15 seconds, against freshness and availability SLOs I defined. We went from 91 to 871 pairs in five weeks as reads grew about 54× to roughly 11M a week. Order-book data stays under 0.5s old at p99, with near-zero errors across 170M+ gRPC calls a week.

Trading, ledger and pricing for stocks and crypto.

I led the backend teams behind order and trading management, the stock ledger, and stop loss / take profit, which have processed over 110 million transactions and 27 million asset movements. More recently my squad rebuilt the take-profit/stop-loss and price-alert engine, which fires triggers at p95 under 250ms in production, and automated USDT/IDR pricing and FX hedging that used to be manual. I also delivered IDR Perpetual Futures for local-currency trading.

I led development and maintenance of Click and Collect and its integrations with merchant partners including Alfacart Store and Shop & Drive. I also worked on order fulfilment and seller platform backends, and on launches such as Samsung GLP Fold, S20+ and Note 20 that generated hundreds of millions in GMV.

About and stack

I work on the parts of a product that have to stay up: order flows, ledgers, market data.

I started in 2015 on a university student portal, spent four years on e-commerce fulfilment at Blibli, and have built trading backends at Ajaib since 2021. Since 2026 I lead a cross-functional squad there while staying hands-on. I mentor engineers, run technical interviews, and hold a BS in Computer Science from Bina Nusantara University with a 3.92 GPA.
